How Garment Remodelling Works

At Stitch Masters, garment remodelling begins with a careful review of the item you bring in. We look at the fabric, condition, seam allowances, and fit goals before discussing what can realistically be changed.

That first assessment helps us define the project clearly. Whether the work involves dress and skirt remodelling, shirt and jacket restyling, or a vintage-garment fit update, the scope is confirmed before the work begins.

Every project starts with the garment itself, because fabric, seams, and construction shape what is possible.

For redesign projects, we also review how much usable material is available and whether any additional materials will be needed. If supplementary items are required, they are quoted separately after review.

Upcycling can create a fresh result while respecting the original garment. In many cases, the strongest sections are reused, and the final concept is shaped by the fabric that is already there.
